Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply for a home?
The first step would be to contact us and send us basic information about you: name, phone number, and address. We then can mail out a pre-screen that gives you more information about Nassau Habitat for Humanity. It also has a couple sections that should be filled out and sent back to us so we can work out what the next step will be.
What materials can I donate?
Thank you for wanting to donate to us!
Does NHFH have a ReStore?

Volunteering for the Bahamas?
How do I volunteer in Nassau County?
Right now we are we are not building, therefore have no volunteer opportunities. We will begin building again in the fall. Our volunteers are usually at the Job site on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:00 am and stay until 1:00 pm. There are a variety of tasks to be performed. Here are a few examples: Put up Walls, Framing, Siding, Paint, Install Cabinets, Put in Flooring, Electric. We have other opportunities, however, they all differ depending on what we are currently working on. If you would like more information, please contact us. We would really enjoy you on our team because volunteers are the heart of Nassau Habitat for Humanity. We are only able to accept minors as volunteers if they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
